Growing up, Colin wasn’t interested in music. It wasn’t until 7th or 8th grade that he started listening to music. He dove head first into the 60’s sounds of Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, and their ilk. But, a flip was switched a couple of years later in 10th grade, when his family moved to Massachusetts from New Hampshire. He started homeschooling and it was at this point that he picked up guitar. As soon as he started, he was hooked. He played 10-12 hours everyday and learned everything he could about music through books, lessons, and live music. This carried him all the way to the world renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston where he graduated with a BA in Professional Music with concentrations in Electronic Production and Design, and Harmony. Although he was at Berklee studying guitar, he also received weekly piano lessons from accomplished piano majors, and in addition, he enrolled in weekly professional voice lessons from Bristol Studios. Nowadays, Colin is writing and recording his original music under the name The hArt of Sound. Whenever he's not, you can find him performing solo acoustic shows around New England and putting a unique and masterful spin on your favorite songs. He does so with his virtuosic singing, guitar playing, and his own brand of informed creativity.
